  17. Page 321 of the Microsoft Windows NT System Guide states the following:
  18.  
  19.    "At the command prompt, you can change the library path for OS/2
  20.    applications by using the "Os2libpath" command."
  21.  
  22. This is a documentation error. The "Os2libpath" command must be used with
  23. the "Set" command in order change the environment variable settings. Using
  24. the "Set" command in an MS-DOS VDM only changes the variable in that
  25. particular MS-DOS VDM.
  26.  
  27. RESOLUTION
  28. ==========
  29.  
  30. To "permanently" change the "Os2libpath" variable, use the Set command
  31. dialog button in the System icon of Control Panel. Even using this, it will
  32. only append the change to the default system "Os2libpath" which is
  33. %SystemRoot%\system32\os2\dll. The default System path itself cannot be
  34. changed.

  39. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT. We are
  40. researching this problem and will post new information here in the
  41. Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
